Poured into goblet: color is pale straw, head is brighter white with fine to small bubbles, presents 1 finger thick, then dissipates to thin top with a ring, some lacing.
Smell is dry, light clove, Belgian yeast character, maybe some bubble gum, pilsner malt, light pear.
Taste is similar with Belgian yeast spicy notes of clove, ester, phenol, drying, then some lighter sweeter flavors of malt, pear and bubble gum. Really nice flavor and maybe a touch of grassy hops.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, light bitterness then drying on the tongue.
Overall a really well done Belgian strong pale ale - notable Belgian yeast aroma and flavor, lightly dry but also some malt character, a bit sharp on the tongue through the finish but otherwise very pleasant.

Poured from 12 oz can. Nice looking beer with a big head in the Belgian tradition. The issue I’m having is detecting scents. Very smooth and extremely strong. Mild apply on the palate. Easy drinking beer. Some apricot and apple come through on the palate. Extreme lacing down the tulip. A fine stab at a great style.

Excellent beer that is true to the style. Drinks like a session beer, but beware! At over 8 percent abv, respect and restraint are required.

Poured from a quart bottle into a frosted glass. Color light gold with a fizzy crazy volumous head. Highly carbonated Smell.. Malt and earthy. Taste.. On the dry side with spice, cloves. Feel... On the thin side and dry. Not big on this one.

A - A very bright and clear light orange gold color with a MASSIVE, pure white, rocky head and a tremendous amount of carbonation.
S - Very dry aroma, dry barnyard funk, pears, clove, Belgian spice.
T - Very light caramel malt base with nice clove, pears, light citrus peel, and ends with a nice citrus bite and a generous and lingering clove finish.
M - Full medium body with a massive amount of prickly carbonation that dies down to a creamy texture after several seconds.
O - This beer has been underrated in the previous reviews. Much better than the overall number.

A pretty standard approach for a smaller U.S. based craft brewery aping the Belgian style. It definitely has the cloves and the spice, but it lacks that earthiness you get in the best of them. A little thin as well. Not bad, just middle-of-the-road.
