Starts with a two-finger head if I pour the beer vigorously. It settles quickly to a fine level of bubbles. Streaky lace that leaves the glass bare. The color of the beer is brown (bright light shines through the center).
The smell features a strong brown sugar aroma. Slight spice (hard to identify). I also get a strong band-aid nose.
Semi-sweet treacle flavor. The band-aid aroma shows up in the flavor strongly--a real distraction. A bit medicinal (with an alcohol note) in the swallow and in the short aftertaste. Despite the sweetness, the body is moderate, but the bubbles lean to the low side. The aftertaste is more of the band-aid with some alcohol warmth and slightly sweet. The flavor finishes quickly.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dirty brown color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light rum notes with some caramelized malt notes is pretty interesting. Taste is a nice mix of caramel malt with some rum notes, limited residual sugar with some oak notes and light tea flavours are also noticeable. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Quiet enjoyable beer and something that hopefully will be part of their regular portfolio.
