Black in color with thin cream coloured thin head which dissipates quickly. Light tasting despite high ABV (10.5%). But don't be fooled it hits you on the back end. No free rides in life. Malt dominated flavours and aromas with hint of coffee and toffee. Light carbonation, medium bitterness. A strong stout. Personally, I like Irish stouts but I'm sure purists prefer this style. Let's keep this Covid-beer tasting celebration going.

Cocoa, espresso, anise and alcohol. Small lack of roundness but nice representation of the style.

Bottle: Poured a deep black color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of smooth roasted malt notes with some black chocolate notes also easily recognisable. Taste is dominated by some roasted oats notes with some black chocolate and light bitter finish. Body is somewhat light for style with good carbonation with light warming alcohol. Well brewed but body is a bit thin for style.
