Pours a black color. 1/4 inch head of an off-tan color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of wood, vanilla, liquor, alcohol, hint of cherry, roasted malt, hint of hop, and sweet malt. Fits the style of an American Strong Ale. Mouth feel is sharp, tangy, slightly sour, and still clean, with low carbonation level. Tastes of roasted malt, sourness, cherry, sweet malt, alcohol, liquor, hops, and wood. Overall, a complex aroma, body, and feel, but they all work together to make a truly unique beer. I've never had anything quite like this. I hope it comes back in the rotation in the future.
