The Honey Vaniller is a hell of a killer new beer from Rolling Meadows Brewery, that has local honey and whole vanilla bean, on a solid hefeweizen base.

picked up a growler from the farm/ brewery on the first night they were doing growler fills. stopped to put it on ice for the hour and a half car ride back home, and boy was it worth it. this beer poured out a liquid bananna color and looked alot thicker than it was. a nice two finger off white head left ample amounts of lacing behind. this is the most complicated brew from these guys yet. the nose and tongue were pleasured with the usual hefeweizen bananna and clove, but luckily for me some fresh farm produced honey and vanilla took top billing in this one. the flavors kept tumbling around on my tongue like clothes in a dryer. first one was on top then quickly replaced by another before being knocked off by yet another. a full body with nice carbonation and a real creamy texture make for an enjoyable beer. a little sticky on the finish from the honey i'm guessing, but very drinkable. i really hope they make this again.
