Wow. What a great follow up to both Catalyst and Salute. You can really see where this series is taking you and it's a pretty great ride.
Poured from a 22oz bottle into a tulip glass. Although the beautiful amberish-orange color is the first thing you notice, its really the smell that is the early star of this beer. Almost as soon as the beer hits the bottom of the glass, your nose gets hit with amazing tropical aroma. Holding the glass chest-high, you don't need to lean to get the aroma. It literally pours out of the bottle.
The taste is one of those eye-popping "wasn't expecting this" tastes. The bitterness is not as obvious as it was with Catalyst. Its more subtle with true hop flavor coming through. It starts with a nice blast of fruity citrus but fades into a more of what I call a "round" fruit taste (think melon with a bit blueberry hidden in there). Very juicy as opposed to the drier grapefruit of Catalyst.
The mouth feel is very pleasant. It dries your cheeks a little bit but not the extent of being puckering.
Overall, this is a really outstanding beer. It really showcases the power of hops, especially if you're lucky enough to try Catalyst and Outbreak next to each other. This is how single-hop beers should be made.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
