Tasted on tap at the brewery restaurant. The menu listed this beer as their flagship.
L - Medium brown color with some red; crystal clear. Low head as befits the style.
S - Good, malty scottish ale aromas, but somehat muted, perhaps because it was served very cold.
T - Great flavors for the style. Rich malt, brown sugar, low smokiness. Low yeast fruitiness. Dry, crisp finish.
F - Medium body, low-ish carbonation. Moderate hops bitterness and mild alcohol presence.
O - This is a malty but crisp and dry scottish ale. Very nice example. Only flaw was that it was served far too cold. It greatly improved as it warmed.
