22oz bottle into dimple pint. 6/13/17 bottling date - no idea how my local grocery ended up with these to be honest.
Dark straw pour, quite cloudy, very minimal head and light crown. Not getting much in terms of smell - citrus, touch of light malt.
Faint malt backbone, nice peak of citrus but not as sour as expected - the pithy flavors are very noticeable. Smooth malt finish, biscuity, and some yeast. I didn't notice much of a saline flavor except in the finish - definitely surprising.
Mouthfeel is smooth and refreshing, helped along by fairly noticeable carbonation.
Overall, hardly a typical gose, not exactly my favorite ever

poured from a 22 oz. bottle
a little more on the dark straw spectrum than I like
nice initial white fizzy head, reduces tho
sourness is slight and a bit more saltiness would be ideal
thin as expected and clean finish.i do pick up more brine the more I sip
nice summer backyard drink but there is something
this could use more of to me.passable tho

Appearance - Pours hazy and dull golden orange with a white, half-finger width head that displays sub-par retention before dying down to a mostly barren surface and a razor thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. No lacing, but none expected.
Smell - Distant aroma; fermented orange, hints of floral character and a touch of salinity.
Taste - Follows the nose. Fair saltiness with orange flavor. Distant floral notes. Light tartness in the finish that comes through with tangerine and mild lemon.
Mouthfeel - Light-bodied with moderate carbonation. Slick texture makes for an easy drinker with a lightly dry finish.
Overall - I've been a huge fan of Mad River in the past (their Scotch Porter is still my favorite American Porter to date), but their latest releases have not been very inspiring. This is, at best, an average gose. Lacks ideal sourness and salinity. I wouldn't buy this again.
