Big thanks goes out to mikesgroove for sharing this one with me the other night at his house during a small ticking session. Served from bottle into a Russian River -tion chalice. Poured a slightly hazy yellow-orange with a two finger off-white head. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, rye, grain, citrus, and citrus hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, rye, grain, citrus, citrus hop, and grain hop. It had a medium feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty good brew. The rye aspect of this one was very evident to say the least. Probably one of the most rye forward brews I have had to date if I am honest. However it was quite pleasant and not invasive. A really well put together brew that I was glad to get the chance to try.

much thanks goes out to my kind west coast friend for sending these my way. poured into a hfs glass.

Pours a nice and solid medium amber color with a great head of white that sits on top smoothly and cleanly.

Aroma of deep hops, citrus, blended grains and a nice resin like note permeate through the air. Subtle caramel and biscuit like notes abound here, really quite nicely done. Quick bite of grapefruit up front before a smooth orange, sweeter note blends in and dries the palate to finish it off.

Overall a very solid and very drinkable ale, definitely one that should be very much enjoyed.
