Canned June 2022. 5%

A mildly hazy straw yellow with a dense, white head with excellent retention and lacing. The nose is great with soft, beautiful hops, lemony and bright with a delicate bready note. Slightly sweeter than the pils, but with a doughy depth that's perfect with fruity hops. A light yeast note. The palate opens clean and lightly fruity with slight yeast character, a fantastic hop character with lemon and earth and a grainy, doughy pils malt character, slightly chewy and complementing the yeast well. Lovely finish, doughy and slightly yeasty and with a soft hop bitterness. An elegant beverage.

everything these guys do is wonderful, and this one is too. hoppy for the style, nice bitterness on the back end, noble but not super familiar at the same time, perhaps a mix of hops, maybe just a less common one, they seem to get quite a bit more than just bitterness from it too, pretty cool. this isnt as cloudy looking as i thought it would be, still real bright in the glass from the pint can under the frothy coupld inches of white foam. i mean, this is almost clear. the nose is very much a german pils malt base to me, crackery and organic and clean, lightly floral with the hops starting kind of early it seems, and a familiar lager strain from some of their other beers, pretty robust but it also smells dry and refreshing and kind of summery. the flavor is all of this, really good, bitter most of the way, hints of wet lawn, green tea, and fresh flowers are present in the hop profile too, a light jasmine thing bringing out a little starchiness in the otherwise quite light and familiar malt complexion. this is mildly spicy in the center, and its more pronounced with temperature. good mineral profile undeneath it all, good attention to detail on the water chemistry too, their beers are always so intentional. high carbonation and finishing dryness is just what this needs, and they nailed it. maybe a bit too cleaned up for a traditional keller type, but this is undeniably delicious. it shocks me that these guys remain so under appreciated...

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Golden pour, white head fades to thin, fine cap. Grainy, bready aroma, hint of hops. Taste is sweet, malty, biscuits with a crisp finish. Almost creamy texture. Nice!
