Using some modern hoping methodology along with new German-bred hops, Occidental and Heater Allen brewed Northwest Pilsner to be a lower IBU beer that offers plenty of fruity hop aroma. Generous use of Mandarina Bavaria hopw were used in the whirlpool that was followed by a dry hop dose of Huell Melon that brings a nice blend of citrus and melon to the forefront.

Beautiful, clear straw body with a frothy white head. Great lacing and retention.
A little crushed hard candy sweetness with some fruity melon aromas.
Flavor follows suit. Kind of like crushed Smarties. A touch of grape, honeydew, and sugar, with a very light white bread backdrop.
Light and refreshing but a little sweet. Medium carb, easy to drink.
Not too impressed. The regular Pilsner from either of these breweries is much better on their own in my opinion. I like Huell Melon, but this seems to be a weird overly sweet use if the hop.
Prost.
