another wonderful iteration of this series, i like how each one is the same but different, just world class pils underneath whatever they jazz it up with each time, this go around its idaho 7, which has some noble sort of characteristics in this context oddly enough, its grassy in the finish on top of being fruity earlier, pineapple and orange, and its neat that they have allowed it to be more than a little bit bitter, i have not really seen this hop varietal do this before. it could be the dry hop, still bittered with noble types, but either way its real successful and it seems to me like idaho 7 does best with a little bitterness. this is still light and bright, malty in the traditional pils sense, flavorful for being so dry and easy, and the hops dont linger at all. the lager yeast is crisp and snappy like it always is in this series, and i get light melon, tangerine, papaya, and trace green onion in a good way from the idaho 7 hops. fun stuff, timeless but modern too, fun that they do these collaborations, i have liked all of them so far! i really need to get myself to occidental next time i am out that way, i have become a huge fan of their beers!
