Good amount of light tan head. Really dark, nearly black, brown with slight caramel highlights. Quality, rich, beechwood smoke, with a slight, off-dry medium dark roasted and caramelized malt, for the aroma. Rather subtle, smoke note on a medium bodied, medium dark roasted and caramelized malt base, for the flavor.

Can from The Beermongers.
A dark brown with a thin brown head with good retention and lacing. The nose is delicately smoky and smooth with a creamy brown sugar sweetness, a little toffee but a little unbalanced following the Chuckanut Dunkel. The palate opens with a nice smoke character, earthy and smoldering, complementing the hop bitterness nicely. The mid-palate is a little sweet but not particularly deep or bready, which makes this a little disjointed with the smoke. Drying, clean, smoky finish. Tasty.
