Under the Occidental name this year.
4x16 oz. Cans purchased from American Market on State Street in Salem.
Pours a lovely hazelnut brown..with a small tan head. Great lace.
Malty aromas with hints of cinnamon and Terry's Chocolate Orange.
Taste is similar..more of the orange .
Lovely mouth feel. I thought it might be heavy .but it's quite light and refreshing.
A very nice beer and very easy drinking for 7.7%

*Released under the Occidental brand - 2024 Edition

Look: Deep ruby-red on the pour and in the glass with a lofty beige head that slowly recedes, leaving intricate patterns of lacing behind

Aroma: Freshly baked bread, dried orange peel, caramel, dark fruit notes, toffee, wafts of spice, toasted bread crust, and light earthy notes

Taste: Opens up with dark fruit and bread that start deepening as waves of spices follow closely behind, dried orange peel and cinnamon amongst them. Caramel, toffee, and more fruit continue the journey with hints of earthiness peeking in and out throughout and closes with more bread, fruit, and spices

Mouthfeel: Full but light feeling, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean and smooth on the finish

Overall: This is some good stuff. I’ll try anything these folks make and spotted this new one recently so took the plunge. It’s a tasty winter warmer of sorts that definitely feels and drinks like either a full-blown lager or a beer that was lagered with its clean and light feeling body – especially so with the amount of flavor packed into it and the 7% ABV. Delicious, well-made, and recommended

Taster at New Colony. Dark amber pour, clear, no head. Malty aroma, light sweet notes. Taste is malty, light winter spice. Well balanced. Brings a nice warmth.
