On-tap at Wise Guys, served in a shaker pint. On to the beer:
Color is dark crusted orange and is topped with a creamy inch of head and many spot of lace sticking to the glass. The overall aroma is mild, with a kiss of toffee crisp, some vague hops, vague fruit. Its taste is hoppy per style, showing a distinct note of citrus hops which can be heard all around. Then there's the toffee and caramel before finishing with earthy and fruitiness at the end. The beer is medium bodied with mild carbonation, and is an easy drinker despite at 6.5% alcohol.
Old Orange's version of the Irish Red is a little different from the norm. Regardless, it ended up as a good lunchtime beer.

On tap at Old Orange Brewing Company in Orange, CA.
Pours a murky orange-brown with a foamy bone colored head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and some fruity aromas. Taste is much the same with a citrus zest flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is drinkable but the smell is a bit lacking.
