(Served in a 300 ml chalice)

A- This beer pours a clear golden-orange hue with a thick creamy beige head that last a good bit. There is a gentle carbonation that works its way to the surface.

S- The fresh pale malt is balanced with a green herbal hop finish that grows as the beer opens up.

T- The rich malt flavor is followed by a more full green hop finish that has a slight spicy note and a mint quality to the hops. The finish is just a bit dry with a nice hop hint that lingers.

M- The medium-light mouthfeel has a fresh fizz note in the finish.

O- This crisp clean beer has a nice hop flavor that is just a bit bigger than the nice fresh malt flavor. Very sessionable, yet the hops are not traditional American flavors.

It may look like another new Brazilian brewery, but the recipes of Seasons are heavily influenced by the American school. Green Cow IPA arrives with lots of curiousity. It comes in a 500 ml bottle, and features a kick-ass label. Shared at Cerveja Gourmet, on to the beer:

The body is toasted orange with hues of yellow. The head on top is reasonably thick, retains well, and kicks up some lacing. Aroma-wise, it's shallower with the hops than expected. Upfront, it's sugar and caramel, but eventually, you go get to smell resin.

Now we're getting the hops, but they seem different. There's no pine, there's no citrus, but there is plenty of fresh grassy flavor. The bitterness, clocked at 62 IBU's, kicks in a little. There's also a slight kick of alccohol. For sweetness, we have soft canteloupe flavor. It's medium bodied, and the carbonation of it is soft.

Not tradionally American, but no doubt that Green Cow is good drinking nectar. Too bad it's expensive in São Paulo, but if you were buy it near its home in Porto Alegre, it's much cheaper.
