From the International Beer Collector Subscription in February 2022. Drunk in December of that year.
L: It's the colour of carbonated apple juice, with a bright white head and lots of carbonation bubbling up the middle of the glass.
S: Smells like tree-fallen fruit fermenting on the ground. On the plus side, there's yeast, apple, almond and marzipan. On the negative, there's some solvent and band-aid too.
T: There are strong hints of marzipan and candied almonds, along with apple, wet hay, yeast and funky fermenting apricot and other fruit. It's a little unusual but it's also quite nice. The alcohol is present, particularly retronasally.
M: Mouthfeel is sharp and prickly but certainly matches what my eyes are telling me when looking at the beer in the glass.
O: I don't not like this, but the more I thought about it the more I came across flavours I don't think were meant to be there - that marzipan and candied almond note that evolved into solvent and band-aids chief among them. In totality, it wasn't awful, but that nagging train of thought impacted my attempt to enjoy the beer.
Cheers!

De Belgiuminabox. En copa Grimbergen. Estudiando. Una Belgian pale bastante ale bien hecha, sin exceso de sequedad ni ninguna otra nota discordante y un buen feel

330ml bottle. Pours a clear, rust colour with many streams of micro-bubbles rising to a persistent, off-white, foamy head. Smells of mirabelle plums & spicy Belgian yeast. Tastes of cardamom, Belgian yeast and just a hint of pithy red grapefruit. Light bitterness. Thick, sticky mouthfeel with foaming carbonation. Some alcoholic burn in the finish. A rich & intense, somewhat heavy, Belgian pale ale. Doesn't hide the alcohol.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a medium top off white head that dissolves quickly.
Aroma is of light fruits, biscuity malts, spices and some floral and tropical notes.
The taste is sweet with some fruitiness and some light malt notes. It the finishes with a medium bitterness.
Mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a medium carbonation and a medium body.
Is a decent enough belgian ale, but does,nt have anything to stand out.
