De color marrón, con una leve espuma de poca duración. Cuerpo ligero y baja carbonatación. Aroma a malta y caramelo. De sabor agridulce.

Update, June 2024: I again bought a bottle in Madrid and thos beer is now much improved over the one I had 12 years ago. The appearance is now clear, although still on the light side in color. The carbonation is now moderate, improving the mouthfeel. It is a much better beer now.
Sampled from 33 cl bottle bought in Madrid. Castaña means "Chestnut", but this appears to refer only to the color of this beer, not an ingredient. The brewery website describes it as being brewed from Pilsner, Caramel and Crystal malts, as well as German Hersbrucker hops. It is apparently an ale, as all their beers are. This leaves me unable to find a matching beer style in the BA database. My closest approximation is an English Brown, although the hops are not English.
A - Beer is a darkish chestnut brown color but is cloudy and does not let light through. Head is off-white, starts weak and quickly disappears. Sediment showed it was bottle conditioned.
S - Aromas are a bit weak, but they are clean and inviting. I get bready malt, brown sugar, plums, raisins, nutty notes and a bit of noble hops.
T - Flavors are balanced between crisp, earthy hops and malt. The malt is bready, with some brown sugar and dark fruits. There is a dry finish with wood or nut notes. No alcohol flavor.
M - Body is thin to medium. Carbonation is not detectable. No alcohol burn. Hops bitterness is low.
O - This beer is on the verge of being very enjoyable. The aromas and flavors are clean, but not very intense. It is spoiled for me by being under-carbonated and a bit thin-bodied. A few tweaks and this could be a winner.
