Bourbon Barrel Aged Triple Coffee Porter
A full-bodied, decadently smooth coffee beer in collaboration with local roaster Dark Woods. 7 different malts combine with 7 different coffees added at 3 different points during the brew to create a sweet toffee, rich fruit and chocolate depth, accented with notes of vanilla, and hazelnut. A coffee beer designed with texture, aroma and deliciousness in mind, brewed to celebrate locality and a shared philosophy in creative quality.

7%, not 6%. On tap at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden. I was expecting straight up coffee smell from this one, but the prominent note I get from the nose is actually dark chocolate. Some coffee as well of course, and the barrel notes are very mild. Really big nose overall and makes you think good things are to come. Taste brings more coffee out than the nose. Retains some dark roasted grain flavors and manages to keep good mouthfeel despite the barrel ageing and only being 7%.

On tap at Token, Dublin.
Jet; pure coffee nose; liquid brown sugar, a ton of coffee, bourbon barrel + lots of burn.

More coffee than regular CG, somehow. Barrel saves it: lots of vanilla. But too hot for 9%, never mind 7%.

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017, red session. Aroma has fresh roasted coffee and green coffee beans. Taste is fresh, roasty, a bit acidic, some toasted notes and some alcohol burn.
