Collaboration with Cloudwater Brew Co.
A revisit of our collaborative Double IPA brew with our friends from over t’hills Cloudwater Brew Co. Golden Promise, Wheat, Oat and Crystal Malt were used for a smooth, golden, malty body. A combination of Citra, Simcoe, Eureka and Mosaic T90 hops were used in the whirlpool and dry hopping, with additional Citra & Mosaic LupulN2 Pellets added in the dry hop. Fermented with London Fog yeast, the result is a fruit-filled DIPA with loads of Mango and Peach aroma/flavor, a little residual sweetness and a gravity-defying drinkability.

Served in a tulip glass from the can.
Appearance: slight hazy but still transparent amber gold color with a white head rising almost two fingers length off the body.
Smell: light hops aroma.
Taste: complex taste. Sweet, honey and malt with another dose of bitterness which is super tame.
Mouth: sticky and thirst quenching beer.
Overall: good brew, hard to keep the glass down. Easily top five IPAs on this vacation, let's keep it going. Salud!

On tap at Craft Beer Co, London. Poured a slightly hazy, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of citrus, grapefruit and pine. Nice toasted caramel taste with grapefruit, orange and pine.

Pours a clear orange with soft, supple head.
Smell is very earthy with notes of citrus, floral hops and a hint of tea.
Taste ditches the earthiness almost completely and ups the citrus and floral hops. Slight sweetness and a nice piney bitterness makes this very balanced and dangerously drinkable.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and pillowy, well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice IPA, slight shame about the earthiness on the nose.

Pours a clear, dark golden amber coloration with a large, lasting, foamy/creamy head. Smells of biscuity, lightly caramelly malt and hoppy notes of tropical/citrus fruit: mango, papaya, grapefruit, as well as some dank, herbal notes. Taste follows the nose, with a good balance of biscuity, caramel malt and dank, herbal hops with notes of pine and tropical and citrus fruit: mango, papaya, grapefuit. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some dank, piny notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
An East Coast IPA with a strong malt base and distinct dank, herbal and lightly resinous character, with some fruity citrus/tropical notes playing along nicely in the background. Has a good bitterness to it that could be even more pronounced though.

Poured to a BrewDog snifter.
A: Body yellow and has some small amount of solid particles noting that this has been filtered. Head is white and has a good retention, 2mm thick.
S: Aroma is very strong of sweet components like caramel and then moves on to a citric touch of tangerine peel that moves on to a fresh hoppy tone, that's very pleasant.
T: The taste starts off with a sweet touch of caramel malts, moving to a tangerine and lemon zest, going on to a herbal tone right before touching the final line of the hops that are a bit green, grassy and earthy.
M: Body is medium. Carbonation is spot on. Alcohol is unnoticeable. Bitterness is high.
O: Not the kind of DIPA I was expecting but very good indeed.

De Zombier. En copa Teku. Viendo Colony 1x04-07. 14 meses tras consumo preferente. Conserva un buen amargor aunque haya perdido la frutalidad. Tiene ligeras notas de resina. Debio ser buena

500 ml can Grape and Grind, Bristol - Pours cloudy orange with a medium white foamy head. Nice lacing. Aroma - huge citrus hop front - grapefruit, mandarin, passion fruit, light resin at the front. Taste - same mouthfeel as aroma - huge citrus at the front, light resin, crisp bitter finish. Lovely well balanced DIPA, an absolute hop monster/citrus barrage, reminds me of a higher ABV version of Arbor Yakima Valley, one of my favourite APA's.
