Our latest collaboration beer is with Huddersfield institution Dixons makers of unique and delicious ‘Milk Ices’ since 1961. In homage to this favourite local treat we use Golden Promise, Crystal and Carafa malts to add light maltiness and colour and Pinhead Oats and Oat Malt are then used to give a smooth and velvety body. We then added Lactose milk sugar before fermentation and a little premium Madagascan Vanilla for a nostalgically sweet and milky flavour. Just like the Milk Ice, it’s a Taste of Its Own!

Can: Poured a black color porter with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some sweeter notes also perceptible. Taste is a mix of roasted malt which bitterness is offset by sweet lactose notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nice touch but maybe a little bit too much vanilla and sugar for my taste buds.

Certainly tastes like chocolate ice cream, but the body isn't thick enough to give off that "Ice" feeling.

Can. From Decervecitas. In water glass. At Barcelo Punta Umbria Mar. I suppose it tastes like promises, a milk ice, but the watery feel of the icy part isnt completely of my liking and the lactose/vanilla notes are too soft. I even find light odd vegetal notes

Sweet as sugar, but not really sticky + doesn’t cloy. Hits the concept. Ice cream IPAs are still not my thing, but well done enough.

330ml can. Described as a Milk Ice Porter. The description is an accurate summary of the taste. I get milk, ice cream, low bitterness. I don't taste malt or hops (Magnum). It's nonetheless a pleasant milky porter.
