Harking back to the pop factory roots of our Magic Rock Headquarters on Willow Lane, Huddersfield, which was also the home to Ben Shaws Pop Factory... This juice laden, slightly tart and soft citrus IPA evokes memories of days gone by, the sun shining and an ice-cold cloudy lemonade in hand. Filled with lemon and zest on the nose with a soft pithiness on the tongue, this IPA is a blast from the past.
Hops - Lemondrop, Chinook, Citra.

Pours a fairly clear lemon jello coloured body with traces of white head

440ml can.
L: Pale orange colour. Opaque with a lot of suspended yeast sediment (large flecks). The thin head collapses quickly but leaves a sheet of lacing.
S: Faintly citrus (I’m finding most beers to be faint these days… has covid ruined my olfactory receptors… or are beers being served too cold/with insufficient aroma hops?).
T: Definitely lemon (juice and zest). Also some orange pith. Bitterness is light.
F: Light body, low carbonation, powder dry finish.
O: Lots of lemon but very one-dimensional for 6% ABV. Marketed as a bbq beer but sold for £4.15/can on the brewery website… um! (£3 from Waitrose!)

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
