From a twelve ounce can, this beer pours a clear copper-amber color with a modest off-white head. The aroma has a bready, malty backbone. Some caramel and faint hops. The taste balanced, with notable toasted malt and bread notes. Flavorful and full in body. Enough bitterness for balance. I liked this one more than expected. Good.

Can bought at Liquor Shed. No dating.

Pours a crimson red with, initially, a goodly amount of foam. After a short time, foam is gone, no lacing.

The nose is full of caramel and bready malt, suggesting that it is on the sweet side? Slight hoppy note in the background.

The taste is bread forward with caramel not far behind. I can't pick up anything resembling a bitter note, which might have helped me enjoy it more. Too sweet.

Mouthfeel is good enough.

Bought as a single. I'm glad. Wichita is still a brewery that I enjoy...

Poured into a WBC can glass.

Look: Deep dark clear amber body with cream colored head that recedes to a frothy film. Thick ragged lines of lacing until dissipation.

Aroma: Sweet melted caramel chew notes with toasted bread and spicy hops.

Taste: The caramel malt sweetness is combined with hop spiciness to the point of cinnamon spiciness coming into play also.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied but slightly syrupy.

Overall: I love it. Spiciness really comes through which I don't mind in marzen.
