This refreshing sour wheat ale gets it's pleasant tingling tartness from a process known as kettle souring while in the brew house. After which, it is dosed with lemon peels in the boil kettle and during fermentation to provide a refreshing citrus character.

Pours a very effervescent gold with rapidly falling cream colored head. Zero head retention & lacing
S: Wheat grain, lemons
T: Follows the nose, sourness, saltyness as well along with a little dryness up front. Lemon sweet tart & a little salt as this warms. Finishes dry, tart with salty lemon
MF: Medium body, lively carbonation
Drinks easy, user-friendly take on the style

Undated can at Old Chicago.
Pours a brilliantly clear light gold with a small head of foam.
Strong aromas of lemon and wheat, tart level pretty high.
Taste has a tart yet almost sweet taste of lemon. Wheat holds it in place. Tasty and refreshing.
Perfect mouthfeel for the style.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden-yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of lemon and wheat. Nice tart lemon flavor with some sweet wheat.

my first beer from these guys, and it is surprisingly delicious. i am shocked to see it listed as so strong here, it drinks like 3% alcohol somehow, so light and easy. its a very simple and clean and well built berliner infused with lemon. insanely pale in color, almost looks like a fresca soda or something, bubbly and heady, but impossibly light. the aroma and flavor really feature the lemon nicely, not too much that its not wheaty and beery underneath, but the lemon is really prominent, fresh and natural, tart along with the lacto, and a little sweet, zesty and infinitely refreshing. its not too sour to drink a ton of, its really approachable too for folks that may not be as into sours or are not used to them yet, this has wide appeal for sure! the balance between the lemon and the sour is just right, and thats the great success of this one. a perfect summer crusher, even if the abv is a little higher than normal for the style, it doesnt slow this one down in the least. fun beer, well made, and a nice introduction to these guys for me!

Poured into a Wichita Brewing can glass.
Look: Cloudy straw yellow body under a white head that recedes to a film. Little or no lacing.
Aroma: Malty cereal grains and sharp pure lemon juice and lemon rind.
Taste: Sharp lemon tart, faint wheat, sour lemon rind in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light, dry.
Overall: Great lemon representation, one of the most drinkable sour beers I've tried.
