The candy-like sweetness in this beer envelops the palate. The specialty Belgian yeast adds a light fruitiness that enhances the toasted malts in the beer. Notice the slight change in character as this beer warms, releasing an additional layer of complexity as hints of raisins and dried cherry shine through.

Had on tap at Wichita Brewing.
Beer is golden and clear with moderate amounts of lacing.
The nose is full of Belgian yeast, up front followed by some fruitiness.
The beer tastes like a sub-par Belgian blonde, with banana and clove figuring heavily on the palate.
The mouthfeel is unfortunately less than average. No considerable carbonation or softness on the palate.
Overall, I would hope for something more detailed and intentional from a brewpub, but it's a start for a great addition to the Wichita brew scene.

Served in an ale glass. Amber color with a slight cloud. Head is about half a finger, which quickly disappears with little lacing.
Aroma is mild fruit with a dose of malt.
Flavor is sweet and malty, with a bit of cherry and raisins. As the beer warms, the cherry and raisins take over the flavor. Nice touch!
Mouthfeel - A moderate sweetness to the back. Remains in the mouth for several minutes. Very smooth.
Overall - Is this really a Belgian Pale Ale? Not in my opinion. It is unlike any Belgian I have had. In those, the yeast is dominant. Drinkability is good, but slow. I like this brew.
