This poured out as a nice looking earthy brown color with a tan head on top. The retention was very good but didn't leave much lacing. The smell of the beer has some earthy cocoa note with some subtle bread other spice-like aromas in there. The taste of the beer has a nice cocoa flavor with the mellow dark malts adding some depth to it. There is a hint of cranberry in there too that I was picking up. The mouthfeel was on the heavier side which was pretty good. The carbonation was nice but it left with with a chalky dry mouth in the late finish. Overall this is still a pretty solid brew in my opinion. I feel this is Rumspringa's best release I've had thus far.

Pours dark with virtually no head, minimal lacing. Aroma is caramel, fruit and spices and maybe bubblegum. Taste is lightly sweet, and the caramel and fruit shine through. Mouthfeel is that of a typical dubbel. Overall, a decent dubbel that could be enjoyed on a cold winter's night.
