330ml bottle poured into a tulip glass. bottled sept 2014.
L - hazy orange around the outside, appears slightly darker in the centre of the glass (never noted that before in a beer). Pours fizzy white head, reasonable retention. There are a few specks of sediment, but not as much as I anticipated for a Wild Ale.
S - Funky, chemical smell - like used urinal soap in a train station toilet. But its not all bad - there is some lemon and grassy odours in there as well.
T - sour, highly acidic tone to the whole shebang, lemon citrusy tastes rising up in the middle. Acerbic bitter finish, with noticable rye and wheat.
M - fairly carbonated (a little less than other gueuze/wild ales), medium bodied, alcohol is fairly well hidden (mostly by the acidic flavours).
O - Not a style I have had much of to offer accurate comparisons, but ranks up there with Boon and Belle-Vue. Highly acidic flavours from the bacteria would probably rule this out as a session beer. But if you're a fan of the style, I think you'll be content with this one

Pours amber with a small head.
Nose shows buttery notes, some soft funk, spicy hops and a cheesy character. Very buttery. A bit of red wine shows.
In terms of flavours there more of the buttery flaw, a very soft acidic bit and accompanying funk followed by a gentle bitterness.

Been excited about this one and it pours a dirty golden hue with a one finger head that hangs arounds a little and a little lacing, the smell is funk, red wine, oak and booze, the feel is medium bodied with light carbonation and the taste is red wine, funk, grapes,Some nice bready malts and finished with a slight sweet sourness and overall a cracker of a beer and something I could drink alot of cheers.

Thin head, amber body, little smell - mainly grains and a little brett.
Taste is champagne-like tho not too dry and much more brett on palate with long lasting vinous notes.
A little undercarbonated.
Cross between sour and wild ale at a high ABV which is NOT noticeable.... which kinda brings me to my closing notes... it's an easy drinking, light beer overall, at nearly 10% - so where is the big flavour hit?

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
