Hazy brown color with an off-white head with good consistency and retention.
Burnt sugar was predominant in the aroma, with other scents too faint. But I also felt some skunk.
Better result in the flavor, toasted malts and caramel, and at a second stage a refreshing sensation as a gift from its hops. Hints of flowers, earth and minerals.
Aftertaste is dry and bitter. Apart from its aroma, it had a superior taste to their Domina Weiss and Y-iara Pilsen.

On-tap at the source itself, on to the beer:

Burnt orange color, but in this case, the head's lace and retention are merely good instead of the ridiculosuly high standard set by the other beers of the stable. The nose features a little roast and some vague fruitiness.

Here we go again, bring on some roast, a few bits of esters, and finish it with a kick of hops. It's light in the mouth, but maybe a little too light. At least it doesn't feel like water.

It's reasonable.

The beers at Cervejaria Nacional are all named after Brazilian Folk Tales. The Kurupira Ale was my least favorite offering. The appearance was brown with decent white head that had some lacing. The smell was accented with malt and sweet (molasis). The taste seemed a little off for me....could have been because I tried the Mula IPA before hand....not sure. There was malt and sweetness in the beer. The body was light and I probably would have prefered a bit more. The mouthfeel was ok....if I go back I am going to start with this beer to try it all over again.

SRM = 20
IBU = 30

CN was a great place, great food, and great beer! Hopefully will start a trend for more micros to be established in Brazil.
