Growler filled at Black Forest Brew Haus on 2/19/12 served in a standard pint glass.
L - clear amber color with a off-white head that thinned out after a while.
S - floral, earthy hops with some notes of spices.
T - wheat ale taste upfront with a bitterness and a slight alcohol warmth on the finish.
F - medium bodied with mild carbonation.
O - worth a try if it's around when you're at the Brew Haus.

On tap at the brewpub listed as "Belgian Wheat IPA." Pours a cloudy light brown/burnt orange with a nice thick white head. Aroma of citrus hops, hop oils, and a touch of sweet melon. Flavor is a bit odd--smoked/burnt malt notes, Belgian yeast, banana, and acetone. It does grow on you a little, but it's rather an odd beer.

The beer pours a nice amber color with a thick frothy offwhite head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a pale, wheat, and crystal malt aroma. It's bitter, but nothing too intense. Also, the Belgian yeast doesn't create many esters. The taste is decent as well. It has a crisp hop bitterness along with a dry wheat finish. There is little Belgian inflence here. The crystal malt provides a little balance as well as body. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a pretty good beer, although I don't understand the use of Belgian yeast.

Poured a deep hazy copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured a sweet orangy hop with a touch of wheat spice.
The taste consisted of an upfront citric and peppery hop that gradually morphed into a smooth wheat malt.
The mouthfeel was of average fullness with a bit of chewiness.
Overall a very tasty and unique ale.
