Pours a murky brown color, like iced tea from a mix, with a small wispy off white head that settles into a solid ring. The aroma is smokey but not overbearing. There is some meaty characteristics as well. The smoke seems to cover any of the other aromas but that is fine with me cuz I like a smokey brew. The taste is of a bready malt which is not as clean as your typical bock, seems a bit muddled by the yeast. There is some fruitiness to the malt. The smoke brings a meaty character to the flavor which I like to see in bocks. The smoke works very well with the malt. The feel is moderate with tingly carbonation; starts off sweet but the smoke keeps it in check, then transitions into a slightly dry finish. An enjoyable smokey bock. It seems a touch yeasty but it doesn't really impact the flavor too much.

Poured a deep amber hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured a light smokiness and some sweet malts.
The taste consisted of a well blended mix of charcoal, caramel, and dark dried fruits. Light graininess at the finish.
The mouthfeel was of average fullness and smooth.
Overall a very nice and unique bock. High drinkability despite the brawny ABV.
