On tap at the Black Forest Brew Haus served in a weizen glass.
L - mahogony color with an off-white head that left a few spots of lacing.
S - wheat beer aromas of banana, clove and spices.
T - tastes pretty much like a regular weizen with a hint of roasted malt flavor.
F - medium bodied with good carbonation.
D - a decently drinkable beer.

Pour a deep chestnut brown color with some light brown highlights; big fluffy tan head that left some chunk lacing on the glass. The aroma is of banana and clove, typical bavarian wheat aromas. The taste is of banana and clove with some brown sugar and raisin, a light roasted malt bitterness shows up in the end. Moderate feel with fizzy carbonation, good balance between sweet and bitter, finishes slightly dry. This is a very nice dunkel weisse. Good showing of both the hefe and roasted malt characteristics. Authentic German flavors. Had both on tap and in the growler. Good purchase.

From notes...
Thanks to hopdog for sharing this growler.
Appears a hazy, dark brown with a small white cap that quickly fades out.
Smell is of bananas, clove, and some oxidation followed by diacytel-like buttercream.
Taste is a bit gross...oxidized, husky grains, and rotton squash come to mind.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slick, and watered down.
I'm not sure what went wrong here but I don't think this is what they were shooting for.

Poured a deep brown hue with a two finger frothy off white head. There was very good retention and lacing.
The smell featured an upfront buttery aroma followed by some molasses.
The taste consisted of a light butteriness, some burnt grain, caramel and yeast esters.
The mouthfeel wad of average fullness for the style.
Overall a decent representation.
