Pours a standard black stout color with a tight small toasted khaki colored head that left a small wall of lacing.
The aroma is of roasted malt and very light coffee. Perhaps a touch of vegetal pumpkin pops through.
The taste is of a good roasted malt and light coffee. The coffee was there but didn't pop. Solid earthy bark and wet wood flavor. The pumpkin is a bit of a mystery; it doesn't have any spice and provides a small amount of actual pumpkin flavor. I dig the earthy flavors to this stout, though.
The feel is full with prickly carbonation. Despite the carbonation, the stout is smooth and balanced, with a light metallic bitterness on the finish.
Quite an enjoyable stout. The coffee could use a boost and definitly the pumpkin but the roast flavors are good and earthy.
