From a week-old crowler into a tulip glass.
A-The beer is a nice-looking dusty pink-magenta color. It is nearly clear with a fat finger of light-pink head that dissipates quickly and leaves just a whiff of lacing. No bubbles to be seen.
S-One whiff will tell you this beer is a hibiscus bomb. It is hugely tropical and almost perfume-like with very few other flavors coming through. Very light sweetness and cracker malt flavors, but no real hop notes; just flower. Not bad, but pretty simple.
T-The taste is also huge on the hibiscus. There is a little cereal grain flavor that comes through, but I am mostly drinking tropical flowers. Again, not a bad thing -- it says its a hibiscus APA on the crowler -- but I could us a little more complexity.
M-The feel is moderate in heft with a softer level of carbonation. It drinks easily and is pretty refreshing.
O-If you like tropical flavors, you will probably like this beer. It is a bit of a one-trick pony, but it does that one trick pretty well and it drinks easily. A decent beer, but not one that I will need to drink more of.
