Enjoyed on tap at Yard House Scottsdale. A decent drinking beer, it is fresh. Hoppy aroma. Very lacey on a dark yellow body with off-white head. In your face bitterness.Average mouthfeel.C-hop but a very good DIPA would still have some balance in bitterness and malting.

This I had at the Small Batch and I am just now reviewing my notes...
Good head and nice copper color. The smell of hops blasts you but not enough to scare you away. Good malt base and lots of hop flavor and bitterness. Nice and balanced still, amazing. Could be one of their best.

Very pronounced hops flavor but not over-powering...still balanced...I thought that it was very good....will purchase again...
I reviewed the BJCP Guidelines for an IPA while reviewing this beer, and I felt that it represented an American IPA very well...

This is one great beer. I love the depth...the feel of this beer. It has the alcohol level to be significant, with the hops to be tasty and unique. This one is not available in the 6pack 12oz set, so you've got to enjoy this one, one 20oz. at a time. Maybe this is why I find it so unique, and so quality. I would only recommend this one to experienced beer drinkers, who enjoy a full hop experience.

I had this on tap at the Falling Rock last Friday as part of their 10th anniversary celebration. The beer was straw-yellow with a white head and looked identical to the Odell IPA (i drink it a lot). The smell was skunky (not like a skunked beer) hops. The taste was very, very bitter and not good at all to me. Too oily, bitter, and ashy. My reaction was "they had it right the first time".

This was brewed for Falling Rock's 10th birthday. Not sure if it will be followed up.
A clear amber body, small bubbles stream to the head forming a nice 2 finger pillow. A bit rocky in the middle of the head. Produces a very crisp citrus/pine aroma. slight biscuit hints.
Crisp taste as well. Pine and citrus blend well, smooth and clean. Not a huge bite or high alcohol, not over the top. A very solid Double IPA.
