not that this is unsuccessful, its fine, but it was hands down my least favorite of the beers i had at the denver brewery. its hazy as can be, heavy because of it despite the low alcohol content. i like the guava by itself, thats cool, seems like its always with so many other fruits that its own identity is lost in beers, but here its fleshy and juicy and pulpy and sweet, tropical, and summery. the problem is that the base beer is heavy and unrefined, wheaty and full of starch and protein, not light and refreshing like the style wants to be. the sourness is pretty clean, decent job there, but its pretty tart, and with all the body is a slow drinker as a result, which is not what i look for in a gose. the salt is mellow but adds some nice mineral character. more sweetness from the guava at the end than it needs too. i think this beer has a lot of potential, but right now it seems to me more like a work in progress, which was not the case with all the hoppy stuff that seems to dialed in already. not bad at all, im making it sound way worse than it is, but its not quite there yet...
