a cool honey pale ale here, done with and/or for mead street station, which continues to occasionally be a beer bar. this is a neat one, i liked it a lot, surprisingly light in color and mouthfeel for its abv, not much crystal or weightier malts in here, which keeps this really drinkable. the honey is flavorful but the beer is dry, something i love in honey beer, its floral and fresh, springy more than fall to me, and with a surprising amount of its character in tact considering this has basically no residual sugar at all. not much head from the tap here, and a slightly faded hop aroma and finish, like maybe this has been around for a minute, but i still really like it, herbal and orange notes in the hops seem to mirror those naturally in the honey, and there is an odd crispness to this that i dont usually associate with either american pale ale or honey beer, but its refreshing! simple in a lot of ways, but the honey gives it some depth too, i cant see any beer drinker not enjoying this, its approachable but distinctive, and something i frankly would buy if they put it in cans. cool use and showcase of the honey in a freakishly drinkable ale. well done!
