Mountain Style IPA is brewed with modern, American hop varieties which bring tropical hop aromas of pineapple, orange, and mango. To accentuate juicy hop aromas without using adjuncts or fruit, Mountain Standard IPA is triple dry-hopped. The result is an extremely drinkable IPA bursting with bright hop flavors, low bitterness, and a slight haze.

Light gold pour, some haze, steady foamy white head. Nose is tropical.
Taste brings sweet citrus, pineapple, light kilned malt, papaya (the kind you get in Hawaii, not the mainland grocery store stuff), touch under ripe mango. Medium mouthfeel. Finish is tropical with lightly tangy citrus.

Not too hazy, not too bitter, plenty hoppy, this is a good IPA. They brew this in bulk and distribute it pretty widely, so that is impressive quality. I would drink this again.

A: Pours with just a touch of haze, a yellow color. With a dense white head that forms. Good retention and plenty of lace left behind.
S: A fruity, peachy, pineapple aroma up front. A bit of citrus pith. Fairly standard for a new age hopped IPA, but still enjoyable.
T: The fruity peach and pineapple is up front again. Some citrus, and the fruitiness becomes sweet/juicy like. A light bitterness lingering but would like that to be stronger.
M/O: A medium body with a bit lower carbonation than I would like. Certainly "soft" in that context. Though a very nice and well made modern IPA that I have come back to on occasion.
This is never going to be the style of IPA that I gravitate towards all the time. It could be dryer, with more bitterness and carbonation bite. Though all that said, its still well made, as would be expected by Odell. I much prefer their regular IPA, but this is nice to have when I can't find that one or that is really old. Solid.

From a 12oz can. Best by - 05/29/2025
This beer has a lemon colored tint to it. The beer is slightly murky. There's a 4 finger white head to the beer that has good retention and great lacing on the glass.
The aroma is quite faint. I am just getting a touch of hops. I bet it might have had a better aroma fresher.
The flavor is also quite light. I do get some hints of the hops, but they've faded so much. I do get notes of mango in the beer. There's a faint bitterness on the backside.
The body is smooth. I am not getting much of a feeling from the hops.
I have a feeling this beer would have been better fresh. The hops have faded to almost nothing.

Slightly hazy light orange color with a decent white head and some sticky lacing.
The aroma is pineapple, citrus, mango and caramel.
The taste is caramel malt, pineapple, tangerine, hints of honeydew melon and green grape, very slightly sweet. The finish is dry with lingering citrus zest, pine, fresh grass and caramel, mild bitterness, nice balance.
The body is light/medium, well carbonated, crisp, very drinkable. Altogether, this is an excellent American IPA, very tasty and refreshing, should go well with most food but particularly hearty or spicy fare, very well done.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours yellow orange with a white head. Smells of grassy and citrus hops. Tastes of grassy hops with nice citrus notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Pretty nice hoppy flavor and aroma. B+ territory; solid. Hazy with a big white cap. Be great with some fish and chips. Everyday kinda IPA.
