White Coffee Stout

Well not big on coffee flavored beer and this is one. It is a pretty thing I'm sipping near the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. They say it's a golden stout, but it's a golden apricot unique shade. Maybe the stout claim comes from the creamy sweet vanilla up front but followed by a ton of coffee. After several tastes this is a coffee beer folks. Not much more to offer. Eye candy though, gorgeous color.

Poured from draft into a snifter. A clear golden yellow color with a small head and decent lacing.

These white stouts drive my senses crazy. Definitely strong coffe smell and taste. But there was also a fruity sweetness that I am not entirely convinced is not just from visual signals! In any event, a bit of vanilla flavor rounded out this tasty stout!
