Served on tap at the brewery. Supposedly a brew developed by one of their drivers who owns a boat by the same name. I was told he was aiming for something like Sierra Nevada pale ale. Hop variety was unknown.

It has a really nice golden orange color with a hint of red and perfect clarity. There's lots of white head and it sticks around pretty well.

Aroma is very hoppy and fresh smelling.

Taste is that of a pale ale in the west coast tradition. Hoppy to the point that most breweries would have called this an IPA. Lots of fresh bitter hops and just enough sweetness to give it some balance. I would think that this is a one hop beer since the aroma and taste have the same characteristics.

Mouthfeel is dominated by bitter hops and just a bit too much carbonation. It also seems lacking in body which could be what makes this an APA and not an IPA. I didn't find out what the ABV is but I would guess it's <6% because of the thin mouthfeel.

Overall a very good pale ale with a nice story behind it. I would hope they make this again.
