Slightly hazy orange color with some suspended solids and a modest creamy white head that recedes to just a ring fairly quickly but does produce some decent lacing.
The aroma is tangerine with some light caramel malt base.
The taste is tangerine with some grapefruit and pine resin in the finish, moderate bitterness, somewhat sweet with a dry finish.
The body is medium, moderate carbonation, fairly smooth and very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a refreshing and tasty brew, very nice.

its cool the fruit keeps evolving in this beer, but it continues to not quite live up to its full potential no matter what the fruit is. there is a lot to like about these, being ipa ahead of fruit beer is awesome, but the integration of the hops and the fruit, whatever it is, is less than perfect, and they fail to elevate each other the way they seem capable of doing on paper. orange tinted, a little hazy, frothy creamy headed, looks big but alive. tangerine is sort of essential oily, bitter which is cool, especially with the hops being bitter too, but its honest and its easy to identify. the hops are a little nondescript to me, bigger in flavor than aroma, some pine and some dankness, not as complimentary to the tangerine as maybe the could or should be, more citrus, some pineapple notes, even a weedy thing would be cool, but they just sort of lumber through the fruit all burly and northwestern and high alpha, not bad, but not synergistic really either. the malt here gives some balance and some structure while staying fairly dry, softly toasted, and the carbonation is great. it hides its alcohol pretty well, and the objective quality is there, but i would have liked a little more from the hop profile to make the connection with the tangerine a little more compelling. this doesnt even seem that difficult to do. would this whole series benefit from being single strength ipa types instead of imperials? not that the bigness distracts too much, but maybe the need for less total hops would allow for a little more nuance there. good but not amazing, a good warm weather double too. always fun drinking new beer from odell!

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of puffy foam. The head fades rather fast leaving just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is big of a bready and doughy smell mixed with a rather strong presence of a tangerine and tropical fruit smell. Along with these aromas comes a little bit of orange and some grapefruit and apple.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready malt flavor mixed with tangerine, papaya, and mango. Other citrus of orange and a grapefruit hop are there as well, with a touch of herb and grass. As the taste advances the tangerine and orange remain strong, all while the grapefruit gets slightly stronger and is joined by a light graininess. Toward the end, the grapefruit transitions a bit from a grapefruit juice like flavor to taking on more of a rind like flavor. With a little bit of pine arriving in as well, one is left with a moderately hopped and somewhat malty citrusy IPA taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is low. Pretty decent for the mix of flavors and for the style.
Overall – A decent citrus heavy IPA with a slightly heavier malt backbone.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left thin rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of fresh tangerine, orange, caramel and some resin. Sweet tangerine taste with toasted caramel and a sharp bitter bite.

12 oz can, dated 3/12/22. Pours slightly hazy dark golden orange with a big rocky white head that retains fairly well and leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is subdued - sweet cereal malt and tropical fruit.
The flavor is subdued too - sweet earthy malt with a little fruit and some floral hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, just OK.

12oz can pours out a beautiful darker orange, nearly copper at times with a medium white head. Lots of tangerine as advertised, other citrus notes...grapefruit, malt backbone, mild caramel, faint earthy spice. It is exactly what it claims to be!
