Had on tap at the Five Points Brewhouse
On arrival a bone white 1 finger head was present on a straw gold body with lively streams of carbonation. Some nice lacing is forming.
Aroma has a bit of spicy pilsner funk (that's how I pick it up but it's present over most "good pilsners" I drink). Beyond that is quite a lot of German layer aromas and a crackery pils malt.
Taste is quite sweet and bready with a nice big hit of bitter noble hops. A relatively sweet beer but it's balanced nice with all the spicy hops. Very clean and straightforward but carrying a big dose of flavor.
Feel is soft and very carbonated but with a big malt presence that makes this velvety and drinkable. Finish is relatively long but once again quite soft.
Overall this is a good pils that's slightly bigger than your standard German import but is still insanely crisp and right on the style.

This was a very nice pilsner, with a touch of bitterness but low enough ABV to keep you wanting a refill. Some pilsners go with too much of something or other, but this was well balanced and very flavorful without going overboard in any one area. I love Odell, but I will concede that they've gone too IPA-heavy lately, so this local offering (only at this particular taproom) was a nice change of pace.
