Had on tap at the brewery.
On arrival a white one finger head was present that quickly receded to nothing, which honestly is better than usual for the style. The body is intensely hazy and could be mistaken for a NEIPA.
Smell has some traditional sour fermentation notes, but it's followed by a bright fruity note that is finished off by a surprising but light allspice which actually works surprisingly well in the style.
Taste again is started by a sour note that is standard to these beers but it is quickly taken over by sweetness and allspice, similar to horchata. This is very nice actually and simulates a Graham cracker crust uncannily well, and it goes with everything very nicely.
Feel is light and has a slight drying feeling, but is overall quite drinkable. Despite the initial lightness this is nowhere near water, and has a mouthcoating quality and the spices stick around in the finish for a while.
Overall this is a surprisingly nice and also quite innovative fruited pastry sour. Starting off like a traditional lime sour beer, but quickly making it known why this is sold as a key lime pie beer. Very good and I'd like to call it the stout of sours.
