I believe the G here stands for Grandpa ... in any case it tastes a bit old, which is good in this particular case. Had this as part of the pilot tasting, and also part of the co-pilot tasting ... was a long day.
L: Deep deep brown, hinting at red near the edges. Healthy amount of rich irish cream head.
S: Roasted sweetness and caramel. Slight bitterness in the back. Fairly rudimentary in the nose, but not lacking.
T: Sweetness into burnt toast bitterness, flattening out into more booze than the ABV would suggest is appropriate. Pretty good, if a touch thin.
F: Thin. Too thin.
D: Feel ultimately takes a good flavor profile and throttles it down into a mediocre-at-best beer. Unfortunate.
