Pours a chestnut mahogany with with a dirty white head. Aroma and flavor are both similar, offering some sweet nuttiness, some brown sugar, a little caramel, and a touch of some piney hops. Not too bitter, based on the description I was expecting more bitter than I got, which was too my liking. A medium bodied, some activity. Overall, a decent brown but nothing to go crazy over.

From the flavor profile, this is a fairly straight Nut Brown on the hoppier-side of the genre. I feel it's a rare feat to achieve greatness in this category ... and this one comes up about average as well.
L: Deep amber, slight bit of light poking through the glass, but not much. Good, thick head, great retention.
S: General sweetness with hops poking through here and there.
T: Nutty sweetness into a wall of hops that lingers through the finish. Front is too sweet, back too hoppy.
F: A touch watery, but i've found that to be fairly normal for the style.
D: Decent, hops add a touch of the unexpected, but not enough to elevate.
