A pilot beer on tap at their taproom, utilizing smoked Cherry Wood rather than the traditional Peat Smoked Wood.
Pours a deep chestnut, mahogany with a nice, foamy khaki head. Aroma and flavor were both quite similar; smokey, sweet and fruity, some caramel, and even a hint of some vanilla. A medium body, some activity. Overall, while not a huge fan of smoked beers -- and this beer is definitely quite smokey -- I actually quite enjoyed this one. The balance of smokey and sweet was something interesting. This is not a beer I could drink more than one glass of at a time, but I did enjoy the one glass I had.
