On cask at Belfast Beer Festival ‘15.
Ruby brown with tans cask film. 4
Carob, autumn leaf, and red hard candy. 4
Cola, cranberry, earth, bit of brownie, and a tad of treacle. 4.25
Slight roast bitter bite and dry finish.
Almost medium, silky, some chew. 4.25
Pleasant chocolaty nose, more of that in the taste, and a smooth substantial body. Reveals itself by degrees, but gently. What a mild should be. 4.25

Handpump halfpint at the Turf Tavern in Oxford.
A: Clear deep persimmon body under a half-inch head of dense tan foam. Great retention and lacing. Beautiful.
S: Balanced, assertive aroma of caramel, dark fruit, and chocolate. A hint of citrus. Excellent.
T: Follows the nose precisely. Rich, complex, and refreshing all at the same time. The finish has a lovely, bittersweet, almost salty twang that keeps me thirsty for more. One of the best Milds I've ever had.
M: Well carbonated (for cask at least) light-to-medium body. Solid.
O: Stunningly good beer. I could see making this a regular session ale if I lived in the region.
Cheers!
