Brewed for the Brewbies Beer Festival benefiting Breast Cancer Awareness, Meaty Beety Big n’Bouncy is a wheat based IIPA that weighs in at 9.0% but is light and very quaffable. Citrus forward hops dominate the palate with a clean bitter finish that leads right into the next sip. The color of the beer is almost that of pink lemonade. This was created by the addition of beet juice, but don’t fear, they only contributed color. If you’re afraid, close your eyes and take the first swig.

April 2nd, 2016 - This gorgeous ruby red brew has a huge hoppy note on the nose, barreling forward like an agitated gorilla, but suddenly stopping, dry and raspy and even a little whiskey. The flavor is also a little harsh, like bitter greens sprinkled with lemon juice. But despite the punishing array of tastes, it's quite good, and reminds me of the famous AFURI Ramen in Japan (and now Portland Airport, apparently.) It's not extremely bitter in the aftertaste where some balance gets to play with more room, and feels very sophisticated.

A - Very hard to rank the appearance because of the dyed color. Nice head though and the beer pours a very pretty pink. Was very surprised to see this color in the glass.

S - Lots of hops. Was expecting almost a vegetable aroma when I found out about the beets, but they are nowhere present.

T - Amazing double IPA! Very hop forward and very balanced. Again, the color was trying to trick my mind, but there is no beet flavor at all. Very drinkable and would give any IIPA a run for it's money!

M - Very crisp and doesn't leave a residue on the tongue. Nice carbonation.

O - Go get this beer while it's available!!!
