April 2nd, 2016 - As part of a promotion we tried a beer here at Monkey Paw that I wouldn't normally give a go. It's a dark beer, but my flash went off, so it's hard to tell how much transparency there is but it smells clearly of chocolate and Nutella and root beer, but the mixture is quite unique and exceptional. It is sweeter on the tongue, with a smooth, velvety taste of gourmet milk chocolate, and a bump of hazel nut and cinnamon in the aftertaste. By all accounts this is a delicious beer, and one that should be snapped up, promotion or not.
