Our first Pro/Am beer brewed with San Diego Fair Homebrew Contest winner Derek Jones. This refreshing “lawnmower” ale is brewed with Pilsner and Honey malts to provide a slightly sweet, yet crisp, body and mouthfeel. The Palisade hops provide aroma and a touch of that familiar San Diego bitterness. Perfect for those Santa Ana days that define October in America’s Finest City.

Appearance is unassuming, with a clear light amber color in the pint shaker. Modest foam that doesn't last very well. Adequate carbonation to start, at least, in the mouth. Medium body which seems thicker than you'd expect for a light brew.
This is warm toned and tastes of toasted malt. A little flavor of sticky, grainy, bready malt. Faint hop aroma but a distinct bitter tang. A resiny flavor sticks in the back of the throat. Sawdust in the nose. Brewer says this is made with Pilsner and Honey malts and Palisade hops.
This is a slightly more offensive than average Cream Ale. I can't recommend it after trying to drink the pint. On tap at Regal Beagle.
