Smoke. That’s what this beer is about. We love traditional German Rauchbier (Smoked Lager) but we also love to share our beer and welcome patrons into new styles. The use of American Cherrywood Smoke in our version creates a slightly sweeter smoke profile that is more like bacon than campfire. Perfect with anything from the smoker or grill, this beer will seem assertive on the first sip but will quickly become an all day crusher once the palate acclimatizes to the new experience.

October 15th, 2015 - The Low & Slow is the closest thing to a lox or smoked salmon beer I've ever had, and probably will ever have. Dark and brown, it is almost purple like adzuki beans, with little head to hide the interesting color. The nose is smoky, and brings in the ham and, more dominantly, lox smell. It's odd but I'm not immediately repulsed. The body is on the lighter side, but delivers even more of the lox flavor. Lox, lox and more lox, with additional layers of lox in the aftertaste. Odd, but fun, and still drinkable all the way to the end.

Delicious raunchier . Had on tap at Monkey Paw. True to style. Excellent smoke without dominating other favors. Dark and smokey. Full of flavor but still a light refreshing lager. Well done.

On tap at O'Brien's
A: Pours a dark golden color with a thin off white head.
S: Smells a bit faint but I get smoked malt, burnt wood, and a bit of earthiness in there.
T: Starts with toasted malts and grain and them moves towards a big smoky flavor that reminds me a little too much of smoked salmon. Sort of strange.
